The Dog Hitch is the alternative to boarding kennels and provides peace of mind for all your day care & holiday boarding problems. I can provide care while you are at work, moving house, going into hospital or even just enjoying a day out. As long as your dog is well behaved and happy to mix with other dogs, he or she will be made very welcome.  The Dog Hitch is not suitable for aggressive dogs or very nervous dogs.

AlfieThe dogs stay in my home, in the Winton area of Bournemouth. They are walked  twice a day (whatever the weather) in local woods for a minimum of 1½ hours per day (please note that I am unable to take dogs who are unable to cope with this much excercise). There is also a garden to play in if the weather is good or games to play in the house if the weather is bad. There is no worry about your dog being left unattended as I am always with them.

Ace feeling quite at home! There are no kennels so the dogs are given free run of most of the ground floor of my house and have all the usual home comforts. There is  plenty of space for dogs to either play or find a quiet corner away from it all. Fleeces are provided for dogs to lie on when they want to rest, but my lap or the odd chair is also available!   Please give me your requirements for how wish your dog to be looked after and I will do my best to fit in with these.

All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations including the  kennel cough  vaccine. Your vet will advise you about any vaccines needed & how soon to have them before your dog's intended stay.   Please remember to bring your dog's certificate when he/she comes to stay otherwise your dog will be turned away.

I am sorry but I am unable to take puppies under a year old and all dogs must be neutered. Older dogs are welcome but they must be fit enough to cope with a one hour walk.  I am no longer able to take Boxers, Staffies or Husky type breeds. Toy breeds are welcome but please be aware most of the dogs I look after are springer size or bigger.

If your dog is unwell I will not be able to accept it as I cannot risk the health of the other dogs. However, if it has a  long standing medical problem then I may be able to help. I cannot take dogs with epilepsy or diabetes.

I am unable to run a collection & delivery service or provide dog walking services
